Juan T. O’Naghten has served as General Counsel across industries—aviation, telecom, infrastructure, and private development—offering clients the rare benefit of legal leadership integrated with business strategy.
He was General Counsel for a start-up airline from pre-incorporation through successful sale, guiding the company through certifications, financing, labor relations, and even a U.S. Congressional investigation.
Juan also served as General Counsel for a South Florida-based telecom company, overseeing regulatory compliance, debt and equity financing, litigation, and acquisitions. He remained in this role through a high-value equity sale to a private equity firm and beyond.
In the infrastructure space, he supervised over 20 attorneys for a firm operating across seven countries. He coordinated cross-border legal teams, structured public-private partnerships, managed project financing, and led international arbitration proceedings.
These roles highlight Juan’s rare capacity to lead internal legal functions while aligning legal risk with long-term business value.
Luis helps clients manage litigation risks by discussing the available options for controlling such risks, including appropriate venues for dispute resolution (forum selection clauses), inserting time limits for the resolution of disputes, controlling discovery, and assuring access to preliminary measures.
